NorSea Stordbase is located at Eldøyane Næringspark at Stord.
Stordbase was established in 1981. Its core business is logistics, base activity, terminal and harbour services. Stordbase has developed a high level of knowledge and expertise, in close cooperation with companies that supply equipment and services to the oil and gas industry in the North Sea.
Stordbase has also gained competence in renewable energy by being the site for the Hywind Scotland Pilot Park Project.
Eldøyane is an industrial area with several high-profile companies with high competence in segments like construction, electro and instrumentation. Stordbase has established close cooperation with these companies to ensure that we can deliver a wide spectrum of services to our customers.
NorSea Stordbase has experience in handling of flexible pipes. We can offer inspection, spooling, dissection and scrapping of flexible pipes and umbilicals.
We have two underrollers available and have good cooperation with Eide Lift, for lifting and relocation of reels.
NorSea Stordbase has a modern workshop, built in 2015, and is equipped to meet the HSSEQ requirements. The workshop contains a 20Te (2x10te) traverse crane, torch cutting machine, punch press and welding equipment to perform production of steel structures, sea fastening and grillages.
The quay area is approx. 37000m² with three quays, it is asphalted and ISPS approved. The water depth at quays 1 and 2 is nine metres and is suitable for CSV/OCV vessels. The water depth at quay 3 is 10 metres.
We have 100.000 m2 of available outdoor storage. It was formerly used as the assembly site for Hywind Scotland Project and as storage for the pipes for the Johan Sverdrup Pipeline.
We also have several warehouses for indoor and/or heated storage and can offer all types of transport assignments, forwarding and bonded warehousing.
