Equinor extends its agreement with NorSea until 2027

Equinor is extending its contract with NorSea for an additional two years until June 30, 2027. Together, we will continue to develop the logistics services of the future.

“This is a significant milestone for us. The agreement with Equinor is by far our largest. It covers all our bases in Dusavik, CCB Ågotnes, CCB Mongstad, Florø, Vestbase, and Polarbase. The extension is a clear recognition of the work that all our talented employees have done for Statoil/Equinor since the beginning in 1972,” says Lars Haug, Deputy CEO of NorSea and responsible for the Equinor contract.

“The agreement also recognizes our long-term commitment and delivery in safe operations, digitalization, and a continuous focus on sustainable logistics. Together, Equinor and NorSea are in a unique position to further develop and enhance logistics operations between onshore and offshore installations,” Haug continues.

The logistics agreement is now extended for an additional two years, from summer 2025 to summer 2027. Going forward, we will have a strong focus on the Norwegian Continental Shelf Logistics Project (NLP), in collaboration with Vår Energi.

Changes in Dusavik

“Together, we have reviewed all aspects of logistics on land, at sea, and in the air. The purpose has been to make operations even safer, smarter, and greener. One of the consequences is significant modifications to the Dusavik base. The work on NLP has been interesting but challenging, so it’s especially gratifying that our collaboration is extended for another two years,” says Kevin Lied, VP Base Operations at NorSea, who played a central role in developing the partnership with Equinor.

“The new agreement provides predictability to strengthen our shared goal of sustainable operations on the Norwegian continental shelf. We are staying the course with the strategy to further develop strong local bases and the business clusters associated with them,” says Lars Haug.
