The gigatruck is as quiet as a mouse!

It is powerful - and very quiet - our long-awaited new electric truck from Kalmar. Come along to our Top Gear workshop!

– It’s excellent that we’ve finally received the truck. Now we are looking forward to properly testing it in all situations possible at a base like ours, explains Kevin Lied, VP Base Operations at NorSea Logistics. 

It’s all about safer, smarter and greener operations every single day at NorSea. Our trucks run many, many hours every day. Therefore, switching from diesel trucks to electric trucks is an important contribution to becoming greener. 

Climate neutral in 2030 
– We have set ambitious goals for the coming years. One of them is to be climate neutral in our own operations by 2030. Transitioning to electric trucks is an important contribution to achieving our goals, Lied explains. 

More on the way 
The new truck is the first of several that have been ordered – and are on their way. Corona, war and major delivery problems have caused the truck to be significantly delayed. But now warehouse operator Knut Magne Uri is finally working on a new machine. 

– I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time. I have helped design parts of the truck – and am really looking forward to getting to know it well! 

There was loud music, smoke, blue lights and a real Top Gear atmosphere in the workshop when the new electric truck was put into use. Have a look!
