Thomas Wilhelmsen receives the U.S. Ambassador’s award 2019
Thomas and the Wilhelmsen group received the U.S. Ambassador’s award 2019, presented annually to the individual or organization who does the most in the preceding calendar year to advance the bilateral relationship between Norway and the U.S.
The award has not been awarded in the last five years, however United States ambassador to Norway, Rear Admiral Kenneth J. Braithwaite, USN (ret.) decide to recognize Thomas for his leadership in contributing logistical support for U.S. and Allied overseas military operations around the globe.
Recognition of Trident Juncture 2018 efforts
“The Wilhelmsen Group also provided comprehensive logistical services to exercise Trident Juncture 2018, bringing in more than one million meals and two-and-a-half million bottles of water. A Wilhelmsen-affiliated shipping company, American Roll-on Roll-off Carrier, transported heavy equipment for the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps to Norwegian ports during the NATO exercise”, said The United States Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway, Rear Admiral Kenneth J. Braithwaite, USN in a press release issued by the embassy this afternoon.
