Every link in the chain matters!

Kristine Haga joined us in 2021 while pursuing a master’s degree in change management. Her thesis focused on NorSea and how we can become a more attractive workplace for women.

She started her journey by working directly with people.

"I’m very grateful to have been part of the HR department. It was challenging both professionally and personally, and I gained valuable experience," says Kristine, who also holds a vocational certificate in office and administration and has worked with fire safety and respiratory protection equipment.

After a period as an administrative operations leader at the Dusavik base, she got the opportunity to step into the role of base manager.

"I think my background allows me to lead in a slightly different way. I need to keep track of numbers and budgets, but being present on the base day-to-day is just as important. That’s where the value creation happens! The operational environment is absolutely essential. When the ships dock, we need skilled people to handle the loading and unloading."

She is proud of her workplace.

"The base is growing and becoming more efficient. Logistics is constantly evolving. It’s exciting to think ahead – how can we work more dynamically? We’re part of a chain where every single link is important. At the same time, I want everyone working here to have a holistic understanding of the operations. I can get really passionate about this!" Kristine says with a big smile.

"I enjoy being outdoors, both at work and in my free time. Here in Stavanger, we have beautiful hiking areas right on our doorstep. But I also love reading, especially crime novels and books on leadership and diversity!"

Kristine speaks warmly about the company sports club and the social committee.

"Both bases in Stavanger come together. There’s always something happening. You meet your colleagues in a different way and get to chat with great people you might not see so often otherwise."
